The terms listed below, when used with a capital letter in the text, shall have the following meanings. It is understood that the terms in the singular include the plural and vice versa:
“Contract”: these general contract terms;
“Initiative”: the initiative – such as a platform of digital services connected with a specific trade fair – implemented by Veronafiere, governed by specific contractual terms (the User may view and accept them upon his registration), where, merely as an example, the companies of a certain commodity sector are allowed to exhibit their products and/or advertise their events, occasions for meeting are created between operators/buyers/enthusiasts of this sector, conference events are held;
“Veronafiere Privacy Policy”: the document including the information that Veronafiere is required to provide as Data Controller pursuant to articles 13 and 14 of (EU) Regulation 2016/679;
“Parties”: Veronafiere and the User jointly;
“Online Services”: online portal whic the User accesses to make and manage registrations to individual Initiatives;
“User”: the natural person who registers to Online Services;
“Veronafiere”: Veronafiere S.p.A., Tax Code and VAT No. 00233750231, Administrative Economic Register No. VR – 74722, with registered office in Viale del Lavoro No. 8, 37135 - Verona, tel. 0458298111, email address info@veronafiere.it, certified email mail@pec.veronafiere.it, which makes Online Services available and implements the Initiatives.
2.1. The Contract encompasses the terms and conditions of registration to the Online Services and of their use.
3.1. The Contract has an indefinite duration, without prejudice to the right of Users to withdraw from the Contract at any time and request the cancellation of their account on the web platform of the pertinent Initiative, using the specific functional (i.e., by clicking on "unsubscribe" ). On unsubscribing from a single web platform, Users automatically unsubscribe from the "Online Services" and consequently also from all the web platforms where they may have registered beforehand (as accessed with the same User Credentials).
3.2. It is understood that Veronafiere may decide at any time to discontinue the Online Services and withdraw from the Contract, giving a prior notice at the email address provided and/or on Veronafiere website.
4.1. The User, to register to the Online Services, must:
4.2. The User, as an alternative to the procedure under the preceding paragraph, can register using the so-called “social login” and access one of Facebook, Google, LinkedIn or Apple platforms; in this case, the User must:
4.3. No User can activate more than one point of use, which the specific credentials created by the User refer to (i.e. email address and password entered during the above-mentioned procedure of registration).
4.4. The credentials refer to the User who cannot transfer them to third parties. The User is required to take care of them with the utmost diligence and to keep them confidential in order to prevent their being used by unauthorized third parties.
4.5. The User is liable to choose a not easily identifiable password and change it from time to time. The User acknowledges that Veronafiere reserves the right to ask to change the password if it deems it necessary for security reasons.
4.6. The User, in case of loss of the credentials, may retrieve them by following the procedures specified in the profile management page.
4.7. The User shall be responsible for any use of the credentials performed by authorized or unauthorized third parties, as well as for any harm caused to Veronafiere and/or to third parties as a result of failure to comply with the above, undertaking as of now to indemnify and hold Veronafiere harmless from any and all claims, even for compensation for damages arising, either directly or indirectly, from the above-mentioned use or abuse.
5.1. The User, once registered, can, with the same credentials, log in and browse all portals of Initiatives, both on web and on app, and register to the individual Initiative. The User may also benefit from the Veronafiere technical support as to Online Services getting in touch with it at the contact points under art. 1
6.1. The User acknowledges and accepts that use of Online Services may be suspended or interrupted, as a whole or in part, for causes that are beyond any control by Veronafiere – such as, merely as an example, slow-downs, congestion and/or overload of the system, its access network to the Internet, tampering or unlawful interventions by third parties – without this involving any liability for Veronafiere nor that anything be due to the User for any reason whatsoever.
6.2. The User acknowledges that the Online Services may be suspended – even without prior notice if necessary – in order to provide corrective maintenance works as well as those of development maintenance procedures and in case of emergencies or threats related to security.
6.3. Notwithstanding the above Veronafiere shall in any case restore the efficiency in the shortest possible amount of time in order to reduce the risk of inconveniences of any kind to a minimum.
7.1. The User undertakes to use the Online Services in compliance with the provisions of the Contract and with all applicable laws and regulations, therefore refraining from any illegal conduct (merely as an example, behaving in such a way to jeopardize the security of third-party systems and/or apparatus, allowing unauthorized accesses).
7.2. The User undertakes to promptly inform Veronafiere if he becomes aware of an unauthorized access to the Online Services or irregularities in its systems.
7.3. The User also:

In case of infringement of the obligations under articles 4.4, 4.5, 4.7 and 7, the User shall remain solely responsible, with explicit indemnity towards Veronafiere or the owners of the rights in connection with any claims brought by third parties as a result of the above-mentioned infringement. It remains understood that in this event Veronafiere may take, at its own discretion and without having to give prior notice, any action it holds necessary to safeguard its own interests, including blocking accesses to the Online Services, without prejudice to any remedy provided for by the law, including the right to terminate the Contract pursuant to art. 1456 of the Civil Code (by simple notice in writing to the User) and/or to request compensation for damages suffered.
9.1. Veronafiere reserves the right to amend the Contract at any time, notifying it adequately to the Users, without prejudice to their right to withdraw from the Contract pursuant to preceding article 3.1.
